How do Greenstock know if we have attached the perfect crimp termination, and why does this matter?
Achieving a quality crimped termination is critical, as even the smallest of defects can impact the reliability of wire connections.
For example, manufacturers of medical devices need a reliable means to monitor and verify the crimping operation for wire leads connected to the body of a pacemaker.
Pull force testing & crimp height measurement is a standard reliable method of checking crimp quality but can only realistically be used on a sample basis due to its destructive nature and takes time away from the manufacturing operation. Crimp force monitoring is non-destructive and provides real-time pass/fail feedback and analysis on each specific part or component.
At Greenstock we use both of these processes where required giving us a practical and intelligent approach to ensuring the highest quality parts end up in your product.
