The Greenstock Lamp Company is accredited to BS EN ISO 9002 approval No GB 1233 thus ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service and product quality at all times. Additionally the company has been accredited by Link-Up the body dedicated to ensure that the products and services supplied to the rail industry comply with EU Directives.
There are many special applications for lamps where there are none available on the market or where a lamp is needed for use in obsolete equipment. For this type of application Greenstock can offer a special service to manufacture small production runs. This could include both long life versions of existing lamps, or be for a lamp that is now unobtainable.
Our products have been supplied to thousands of commercial and domestic users including the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace and as far afield as five star hotels in Dubai.
By 2010 new legislation will mean standard light bulbs will no longer be manufactured. European governments are pushing consumers to use fluorescent low energy bulbs that are mostly produced in China. Many users are not convinced, and recent high profile front page news in both The Daily Mail and Express newspapers have highlighted not only the poor quality of light from these products but also that they contain poisonous mercury powder.
Most people are completely unaware that from September 2009 the standard incandescent 100 Watt lamp will no longer be produced and the following year the hugely popular 60 Watt light bulb will disappear from the shelves.
Greenstock lamps represent the sensible alternative, offering traditional bulbs with extended life meaning that up to 16 replacements are avoided, reducing waste, packaging and transportation and giving the user the additional benefit of reduced maintenance.
