Shatterproof fluorescent tubes are now almost a prerequisite in all food applications, where the risk of contamination by broken glass and toxic phosphor powder needs to be minimised. Greenstock offers a range of branded shatterproof fluorescent tubes protected with a semi-rigid layer of plastic sleeving. This sleeving contains shards of glass, phosphor powders and mercury if the tube is accidentally broken.
